LDV carried the flame of Birmingham van-making — the Convoy and Pilot descended from the old Leyland DAF Sherpa line, before the Maxus arrived in 2005. All are diesel workhorses; the earlier vans pre-date DPFs, while late Maxus models sit on the cusp of the filter era.
