Cupra began as SEAT's performance badge and became a marque in its own right in 2018, selling sharpened versions of the Ateca and Leon alongside the Formentor coupe-SUV. Its TSI petrols carry GPF-equipped exhausts on later cars, and the diesels carry DPFs.
